
Anthony David Gonzalez was born on February 27, 1976. He is an American football tight end. He played 17 seasons in the National Football League. Gonzalez is believed to be one of the most significant tight ends in history. He holds the record of the NFL for receiving yards and receptions as a tightener. He also ranks third in total receptions. Gonzalez was selected in the first round of the Kansas City Chiefs. He was a part of the team for his first 12 seasons playing for the team. For the last five years the team was part of the Atlanta Falcons. Gonzalez, who quit in 2013, has worked as an analyst for NFL on Prime Video. Prior to the move, he was with CBS Sports, Fox Sports, and Fox Sports. Gonzalez also was awarded six All-Pros. Gonzalez was recognized for his durability and his ability to not throw a ball. He appeared in 272 of the 272 games in the regular season and only fumbled twice, on 1,327 touches. In the year 2019, he was admitted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
